Chilli Padi in Melbourne Central is now open 10:00pm – 5:00am for Malam Supper. It’s fab Malaysian hawker food, and it’s cheap. It’s always full of Malaysian/Singaporean students, sometimes after a big night out. They give you a printed out menu, you tick off what you want and they go and make it for you.

My brother and I went there last night after Nat’s birthday for a much needed Malaysian food fix. There are times when you're drunk and a souvalaki just won't do.

Random: They have a $20 “abnormal cleaning charge”. “Please request a plastic bag to avoid cleaning charge”. Apparently they introduced that after the first week of opening. Hehe.

Because I work in the same building, I walk past Chilli Padi every night after work, and the smell is so fantastic – just like being back home. The smell is great, but eating there is even better.
