Congrats on the new(ish) job. :)Agneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02682199058521082342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8787347.post-39005224678806321282010-02-18T09:34:27.522+11:002010-02-18T09:34:27.522+11:00Congrats on the new job! The dessert platter would have won my heart! :PApril @ My Food Trailhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00169788452408916348noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8787347.post-69395988299782017312010-02-17T19:01:32.674+11:002010-02-17T19:01:32.674+11:00Daniel - It is! I nearly ordered it but I didn't want to be too indulgent, hehe.

Hannah - I was very impressed by the amuse-bouche too! Coriander and Chocolate was an unusual yet well-paired combination.

Thanh - Let's make creme brulee next time, I have a blowtorch somewhere at home. Nah, we purchased the oil, it was $30.

Cindy - Good point about the price, I should def visit Gingerboy soon!

Cherry Snowflake - Haha, it's very minimalist in that Melbourne kinda way.

Shellie - Just read your blog about the macarons, they sure do look cute!

Esz - Thank-you! I agree about the markups being discouraging, especially considering I don't know a lot about wine.

Laura - Hahaha, with those prices I want to move to New Zealand!!!!
I consider Ezard to be quite expensive, but the prices are pretty standard for 2-hatted or equally fancy restaurants here.

xox SarahSarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00261274546097701065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8787347.post-41066401773947634722010-02-17T06:00:12.267+11:002010-02-17T06:00:12.267+11:00What incredible presentation! Although wow this place is expensive. I don't know how different things are priced in Australia but I'd consider $24 bordering on pricey for a main here, let alone for an entree.hungryandfrozenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01077401868108124070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8787347.post-49862003247066438092010-02-16T21:29:57.423+11:002010-02-16T21:29:57.423+11:00Congrats on the new job and what a way to celebrat...Congrats on the new job and what a way to celebrate! Its great to hear that you left the restaurant full and it wasn't obscenely expensive.

I'm generally a by the glass wine drinker if the wine is too expensive on the menu. Call me tight but I hate it how restaurants put such a high markup on wine!Eszhttp://kittysdrawings.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8787347.post-89055073345986677512010-02-16T13:02:33.898+11:002010-02-16T13:02:33.898+11:00Congratulations on the new job!

Heck, I spent $20 on macarons just on the weekend :P

I'm still waiting to grow up and be sophisticated so I too can order wine by the bottle :PIron Chef Shelliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09522636696137882393noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8787347.post-72807228109691994402010-02-16T09:57:54.808+11:002010-02-16T09:57:54.808+11:00Oh my - how beautiful does everything look?! I love the look of that dessert platter. Come to think of it, I do that for most desserts when I see it on the menu. I guess I do it most for creme brulee "oooh creme brulee" as that's my favourite dessert.

Were they giving away the olive oil or did you buy it?thanh7580https://www.blogger.com/profile/12101572834580539226noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8787347.post-6537160502699261982010-02-15T23:08:36.242+11:002010-02-15T23:08:36.242+11:00I still think my most-wanted dish is the amuse-bou...I still think my most-wanted dish is the amuse-bouche! :P (Though would love to try the coriander with the chocolate, too...)

Beautiful photos!Hannahhttp://wayfaringchocolate.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8787347.post-33542567443447752092010-02-15T22:49:09.144+11:002010-02-15T22:49:09.144+11:00Is the crispy fried pork hock with chilli caramel ...Is the crispy fried pork hock with chilli caramel still on the menu? That is one of my all time favourite dishes from any restaurant. And the brilliance of that dish is almost matched by a scallpo tortellini he did.

Ezards is a wonderful restaurant, and it's amazing to think that they've been around for so long.Daniel Chanhttp://www.twitter.com/bookshopaddictnoreply@blogger.com
